THE MUSIC. THE CULTURE. THE PEOPLE. THE MEMORIES.
Children making new friends. Conversations around the table. Dancing, shared laughter and stories from home.
Tiyende Pamodzi is about those moments that remind us how good it feels to come together as a community.
Watch our promotional video for a taste of the spirit we are bringing to Hunua.

2026 ZIAA EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN
NOMINATIONS CLOSE FRIDAY 23 OCTOBER 2026
Nominations opened on Friday 16 October. Eligible members can now put themselves forward—or nominate another eligible member who is willing to serve.
This is an opportunity to bring your experience, ideas, practical skills and commitment to the next ZIAA Executive.
1. Explore the roles and their responsibilities. 2. Check the eligibility requirements in the ZIAA Constitution. 3. If nominating someone else, confirm their willingness to stand. 4. Complete the online nomination form before the closing date.
A candidate portrait is optional when submitting the form. All nominations remain subject to eligibility checks.
THREE PEOPLE. THREE ROLES. ONE COMMUNITY.
Following our earlier spotlights on Henry Moono, Kasiku Muyunda, Stephen Mulonda and Clenny Thebe, this week we introduce three more members currently serving ZIAA.
Hear about different ways to contribute—from regional leadership and practical committee work to keeping our community informed.
These are current Executive role spotlights, not announcements of confirmed election candidates.
ANGELA MWEEMPWA
DEPUTY CHAIRPERSON — NORTH ISLAND
REPRESENT. SUPPORT. CONNECT.
Regional leadership helps turn a national association into a community people can reach.
The Deputy Chairperson represents ZIAA locally in the North Island, supports member engagement and acts for the Chairperson when required.
Hear from Angela about serving in this role and consider how your own experience could help strengthen community connections.
LEAD LOCALLY. CONTRIBUTE NATIONALLY.
MUTINTA MWANDILA
COMMITTEE MEMBER — SOUTH ISLAND
CONTRIBUTE. COLLABORATE. BUILD.
Committee members help translate community priorities into practical work.
They contribute to decisions, support events and projects, and help keep the Association focused on its purpose.
Hear from Mutinta about this opportunity to bring a South Island perspective and practical support to the wider Executive team.
BRING YOUR PERSPECTIVE. HELP MOVE OUR COMMUNITY FORWARD.
BESA CHEEMBO
COMMUNICATION LEAD
INFORM. ENGAGE. CONNECT.
Good communication helps members know what is happening and how to get involved.
The Communication Lead supports ZIAA’s website and social channels, shares events and community stories, and helps members stay informed.
Hear from Besa about a role that connects people through clear information, creativity and community engagement.
HELP OUR COMMUNITY STAY CONNECTED.
WHAT COULD YOU BRING TO ZIAA?
Perhaps it is leadership, organisation, finance, communications, technology, youth development, culture or events.
Perhaps it is the ability to listen, work with others and follow through.
Different roles need different strengths. You do not have to do everything—but a willingness to contribute time, work as a team and serve responsibly matters.
Think about someone who could make a difference. Speak to them this week—or consider putting yourself forward.
NOMINATIONS CLOSE FRIDAY 23 OCTOBER.
